Delivering high-value automotive equipment at short notice
We worked across continents to pull off the door-to-door delivery of 12 steel coils weighing 100 tons from Saudi Arabia to the United States. Our cargo charter team in the UAE had arranged a dedicated aircraft to fly the outsized load to Georgia, but specialist support was needed to get it from the airport to a factory in South Carolina at short notice.

With the 100-ton shipment needed ASAP to prevent supply chain disruption, our Stateside logistics experts at ACS Time Critical stepped in to help. Leveraging our extensive knowledge of ground equipment and local capacity, we quickly sourced six specialised flatbed trailers with retractable tarps that were ideal for the job.
Staging in regular contact with the aircraft operator, we placed each driver on standby until the flight had landed and the cargo was ready for collection. Two coils were then loaded onto each open flatbed and covered securely with the tarp to protect them during transit.
The road transfer went smoothly and the steel coils were delivered in good time. The client was impressed with our service and now uses us for regular deliveries on this route.
